Veneklasen Associates as a long and proven track-record of successful design in all aspects of architectural acoustics. We believe that acoustics is a science, that we are dealing with a quantitative subject wherein results should be predictable and subject to formulation. That being said, much of acoustics is an art requiring experience and skill from which come insight and intuition derived from experience.

To that end, our goal always is to optimize the acoustical performance of a given space. Recommendations are provided regarding adjacencies, acoustical finishes and materials, construction assemblies (e.g. floor/ceiling), and mechanical and electrical equipment. Our involvement with each project commences at the early design phases, typically at Schematic Design and continues all the way through Construction Administration.

Our interdisciplinary team - representing backgrounds in acoustics, physics, engineering and architecture - is also uniquely supported by decades of accumulated data and the testing resources within Western Electro-Acoustics Laboratory, or WEAL, a division within Veneklasen Associates. Solutions which are now routine have been developed in the laboratory and confirmed by field measurements. The innovation and knowledge within our firm has been a process of cautious evolution as pioneers in the field, from basic scientific investigation and model testing, to prototype construction and testing, into full-scale application.
