A new concept in clinical education, this 65,000 square foot post-graduate learning center of choice for dentists combines state-of-the-art teaching elements with a spa-like environment. Classrooms, medical suites and operatories, a boardroom, conference room coexist with outdoor fire pits, water features, and an outdoor bar and lounge.
Among other specialty audio-visual features, Veneklasen Associates designed a projection system that records and broadcasts in real time with intraoral cameras, camera microscopes and overhead cameras, and transmits from the 278-seat auditorium or individual operatories. Procedures are also recorded to digital servers and streamed to Scottsdale Center for Dentistry students.
The auditorium features 278 ergonomic seats, one enormous 17' (diagonal) and two 15' projection screens for before and after patient images, plus individual microphones to maximize student participation. Our firm was also able to accommodate the Institute's request to "sit in the room" during the design phase to envision sight-lines.
