Leatherby Libraries, Chapman University VA Scope: Acoustical Consultation and Audio-Visual Design  Location: Orange, California Design Team: AC Martin Partners Completion: 2004 Cost: $24 Million The 100,000 SF Leathery Libraries complex features 10 libraries, each focused on a different subject. With space for more than 300,000 books, bound volumes, and media, the $24 million steel-frame structure has 700 seats and houses six multimedia preview rooms, a cyber courtyard attached to 24-hour study commons, a 60-station computer lab, and 16 group study rooms. Veneklasen Associates provided acoustical and audio-visual design services for the building. |
