This 84,000 square foot building was completed through a fast-track design and construction process (18 months) with multiple bid packages.
The facility includes a 600-seat lecture hall with state-of-the-art audio-visual systems that promote student-instructor interaction during class. Given the size of the lecture hall, three electronic white boards are required to display content which also provides highly flexible functionality for multimedia presentations and distance learning.
The system was designed in close collaboration with UC Riverside faculty, which resulted in a choice of 10 fixed set-up configurations to accommodate the over 50 professors and lecturers who share the room. The Audio-Visual system was so successful that the University designated the design as its prototype for similar facilities.
