Natividad Medical Center
VA Scope: Veneklasen Associates provided complete acoustical consultation services.

Natividad Medical Center is a 167 bed hospital located at the crest of a hill overlooking the Salinas Valley. The complex has dedicated rooms for outpatient, inpatient, and long-term treatment. Additional rooms were provided for daycare, administration and medical offices to provide support for the day-to-day operations of the complex.

Veneklasen Associates provided full acoustical consultation services for the design of the medical center. Some of the challenges presented during the design included control of reverberation and background noise in the major public spaces caused by hard surface finishes, airborne and impact sound isolation, and HVAC noise control.
