When architects want to visualize a building they rely on 3-D modeling programs and photo realistic renderings, which are key to acquiring client approval on a design concept. Acoustical performance, also critical to environmental quality, has been difficult to model. Historically refined tools were non-existent and the only way to accurately judge a sound system's performance was post-installation after construction.
New Auralization technology now makes it possible to be in a room and experience full acoustical quality in the earliest stages of design. In addition, sound system performance can be tested before a single piece of equipment is purchased or installed. Veneklasen Associates utilizes this proprietary technology in the design of performance spaces, auditoriums, lecture halls and other assembly spaces.
